Miloš MartinovićUrban Villa with a Courtyard
Located in a densely built yet quiet area of Novi Sad, the client envisioned a modern urban villa on a 333 m² plot. Due to the site constraints, particular attention was given to the articulation of the façade and the organization of functions across the parcel.
Although modest in size, the yard forms an integral part of the house and acts as an extension of the living area. Large glazed openings connect the interior with the terrace and outdoor space, visually and functionally integrating them into the main living zone. The villa’s façade is understated, defined by clear, bold volumes and the sharp lines of a flat roof. The desired sense of dynamism, emphasized by the client, was achieved through a balanced alternation of materials — white rendered surfaces and ceramic cladding — while the window frames are additionally accentuated.
The interior reflects a refined atmosphere appropriate to an urban residence. Dark tones dominate the living room, complemented by grey shades and wooden finishes. In contrast, the bedrooms employ lighter tones and pastel colors.
