House is positioned on extremely demanding terrain and this house represents an answer to location challenges, and at the same time taking advantages of the dominant position. The client’s request was to make best of the location benefits as much as possible, above all a fantastic view of Petrovaradin. So this is why house is lifted from the ground, with cantilevered terrace, allowing for a view and a sense of dominance in relation to the surroundings. On the other hand, very steep terrain and inaccessible access. Required that access and garage be on upper level, slightly lowered than the street level. These two influencing factors have resulted in a highly longitudinal arrangement, which “runs” deep into the plot.
Functionally, house is divided into tow levels: upper level has entrance space, garage and living areas. On lower level there is night zone (master bedroom and two children’s rooms), and basement area.

As for the form, house is divided into two contrasted elements: the core and outer shell. The core is monolith block that “grows” out of the terrain, making stable and firm connection between the house and the ground. Shell, made of dark metal sheets, goes from roof to the facade walls of upper level. Inside part of the shell is made out from wood, even more emphasizing the contrast between inside and outside, family warmth and coolness of the outside world.
